This enterprise offered the following services: babysitting at the children's home, as well as monitoring and entertaining children during major events. Its staff comprised the two owners/primary babysitters, two replacement sitters and another two sitters in more remote sectors. The founders recently ran a fundraising campaign for Opération Enfants Soleil. Locally, Gardiennes cœur d'or earned a solid reputation and built a loyal client base.

This project enabled these two students to combine their interest in babysitting with that of managing a small enterprise. Through this venture, the pair developed their organizational skills by managing schedules and documents, and drew on their creativity in a myriad ways. They were proud to have created an enterprise whose services were widely sought after. Thanks to their fundraising campaign, the students presented Opération Enfants Soleil with a cheque for $1,370.
The young girls' parents were actively involved in the project, which was also supported by Chrystelle Gauthier, youth entrepreneurial awareness officer.
Education Through Entrepreneurial Spirit is excellent for integrating skills from the Preschool and elementary education program and the Secondary education program.
