The goal of the project was to target the interests of those less academically motivated students in order to make school and extra-curricular activities more appealing: tablets, hard-cover comic books and a game room. To get the money they needed to realize their project and respect their budget, the students organized a fundraising campaign and bought used equipment. They had to come up with their own solutions to the problems they encountered while reaching out to the community for assistance!

This project targeted students' interests and integrated them into academic and extra-curricular activities, which made school more appealing! To meet the objectives of this project, the students had to co-operate, be creative and take the initiative when carrying out a variety of tasks: manage finances, run a fundraising campaign, and make posters and a video to raise community awareness about the problem. The school now has a game room, twice as many hard-cover comic books in the library and six tablets per class.
The project mobilized teachers and parents, who supported and guided the students at every stage, though let the children take the initiative. The community also played a role by generously providing funding, comic books and board games.
Education Through Entrepreneurial Spirit is excellent for integrating skills from the Preschool and elementary education program and the Secondary education program.
