The project had a positive impact on the students, as it gave them the opportunity to take the initiative, be creative and confidently share their ideas. Through group discussions, personal reflection and self-evaluation exercises, the students became aware of the skills they had acquired.
The region's youth co-operative entrepreneurial promotion officer (YCEPO) led a few activities, during which the students learnt more about themselves and identified the group's strengths. The activity director at Christ-Roy seniors' home in Shawinigan was very helpful in establishing contact and co-ordinating activities with the seniors. Frédérick Trudel, general manager of centre Roland-Bertrand, contacted needy families and ensured the projects would provide aid where needed.
Education Through Entrepreneurial Spirit is excellent for integrating skills from the Preschool and elementary education program and the Secondary education program.
