The students had identified the people in their community who found it difficult to obtain personal care products. The climate in the region is hard on the skin. Thus was born the UVVAUTIK Soap Factory, which manufactures soap, skin creams and lip balms. These products are made with essential oils from local plants harvested by the students themselves.

Having identified a need in the community, this team of girls operates a very successful enterprise! Demand is so great they are unable to distill enough essential oils to manufacture all the product they require. The students are aware the community applauds their hard work and initiative, which boosts their self-esteem and leaves them with a sense of accomplishment. They have decided to support the Isuarsivik Regional Recovery Centre by donating $2 to from every sale.
The Kativik Regional Government has supported the project by funding the purchase of two distillers, as well as paying for the students' specialized training. Christine Nakoolak and Martin Roy mentored the girls by sharing their entrepreneurial expertise and experience. Both the Nunatsiaq News and journalist Sophie Langlois with Radio-Canada covered the project in their respective medium.
Education Through Entrepreneurial Spirit is excellent for integrating skills from the Preschool and elementary education program and the Secondary education program.
